MEDITEL started operations by providing technical service to Radiology and Radiotherapy Devices of Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

Meditel signed first Exclusive Distribution agreement with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) in 1986. Cobalt-60 Radiotherapy - Teletherapy devices were introduced to the Turkish market. AECL was sold to various groups under the privatization plan in Canada, changed hand many times and currently operates under the name Best Theratronics. Having been the first partnership to Meditel, we currently carry the honor to collaborate with Best for more than 30 years. 

MEDITEL started to install first Cobalt Cancer Treatment device and infrastructure of Ege University Radiation Oncology Department, it is the first large project carried out by the firm.

MEDITEL started sales of interventional consumables as Turkey Sole Authorized Distributor of Boston Scientific Corporation, and went separate ways with the firm by entirely switching to technological devices in 1999. 

The first Blood Irradiator in the country was installed in Ankara Gülhane Military Medical Academy hospital. 

Our group company Medko was founded to operate in Quality Control, Calibration Services, Medical Imaging and Medical Treatment Service Procurement (Outsourcing Agreements).

Exclusive distributon contract was signed between Meditel and Shimadzu Medical Systems in the field of Medical Imaging (Computerized Tomography, MRI, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound etc.) and this agreement is still in force today. 

Gamma Pak Irradiation Facility was installed as a turn key project by our manufacturer MDS Nordion which is known as Best Therathronics today. 

First SHIMADZU Computerized Tomography Systems were installed in Antalya State Hospital and Muş State Hospital.

First SHIMADZU Angio System was installed in Department of Cardiology of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

"MEDWAY Medical Center" founded in 1998 at Istanbul Levent, is one of initial centers that provided A Class Healthcare services in Turkey for patients.

MEDWAY was founded as a MEDITEL affiliate and in the following years it was sold and transferred to MEDLINE. 

Meditel started its Service Procurement business line by submitting first official bid in 2000. MEDKO was then reformed as a service provider dedicated to Imaging and Therapy Service Procurement in the Healthcare sector. 

After the purchase by the Ministry of Health by World Bank Loan, SHIMADZU brand SCT-7800TC Tomography Devices were commissioned in 8 Hospitals. 8 whole body CT Scanners were commissioned in State Hospitals of BİTLİS, BİNGÖL, ELAZIĞ, AĞRI, IĞDIR, GÜMÜŞHANE, BAYBURT and ARTVİN and well served for over 12 years until they were replaced with newer generation devices. 

First turnkey radiology department was inaugurated with sole Meditel Healthcare investment inside Bakirkoy Red Crescent Medical Center through radiology services outsourcing contract. MRI, Computerized Tomography, Digital X-Ray, Color Doppler, Bone Densitometer and Mammography devices were installed and imaging services has been provided until present.  

DİJİMED Bilişim Çözümleri Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş was founded to operate in the subject of IT Technologies, R & D, and Medical Device production as part of MEDITEL Healthcare Group. In addition its core mission, DIJIMED configured itself to actively provide Ultrasound and IT system sales, installation and technical services with its growing operations.

The first TOMOTHERAPY Treatment System in the country was installed in Istanbul Italian Hospital. 

TOMOTHERAPY Treatment System was installed in 5 different Hospitals of the Ministry of Health, Turkey. 

16 healthcare facilities and 2 mobile vehicles of Ankara Public Health Institution were furnished with Digital X-Ray Devices through a long-term rental and service agreement. 

MEDITEL sold and installed the first private Angiography System of KIRGIZSTAN at Medical Center OSH Cardio Hospital.

With healthcare service outsourcing contracts; we, together with our project partners, started to operate Radiation Oncology centers involving state of the art TOMOTHERAPY Treatment systems in Istanbul Bezm-i Alem Foundation University, Sivas Cumhuriyet University and Istanbul Private Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospitals. These operations are carried out through our MEDKO operations.

Turkey is getting digitalized; 431 digital x-ray devices were commissioned at 252 research and teaching hospitals of Turkish Ministry of Health in 76 different cities. 

First state of the art TOMOTHERAPY Treatment System of Acibadem Hospitals Group was installed in brand new Acibadem Altunizade Hospital. 

"83 units of Digital X-Ray Systems were installed throughtout Turkey". 

"Osmangazi University Hospital Radiology Department has been partnered with Shimadzu Medical Systems Turkey through MEDITEL Healthcare. University's aim is to pioneer advanced technologies and become the flagship of X-Ray technologies."

Osmangazi University Radiology Department: 1 unit of Alexa Angiography, 1 Unit of Radspeed Pro DR Digital X-Ray, 2 Units of Radspeed Fit DR Series Digital X-Ray and 1 Unit of Dual Flat Panel Dedector ( Pediatric / Neonatal FPD included ) Mobiledart Evolution Mobile Digital X-Ray Systems. 

"Denizli Pamukkale University Radiation Oncology Department started to use state of art TomoTherapy tecnology and providing TomoTherapy treatment to cancer patients."
